You ever notice how quick we are to judge people we don’t even know? Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan— seems to be the talk of the media world right now… so I decided to watch. And honestly… I loved it. It’s sweet. It’s a cooking and crafting show, nothing dramatic, nothing scandalous—just her making things and sharing little moments. And I actually found it really relaxing. But the way people are tearing her apart? Brutal.
And what really breaks my heart is that even her own father had some awful things to say about her and the show. I don’t care who you are—your words as a parent matter. I can’t imagine putting my own daughter on blast like that. It’s heartbreaking.
But beyond Meghan, it just made me think: Why are we like this? Why do we assume the worst about people we don’t even know? I mean, none of us are perfect. I know I’m not. And I can’t imagine living under a microscope 24/7, where everything I do, wear, or say gets picked apart. That’s exhausting.
Life isn’t black and white—it’s full of nuances. People make mistakes. People try things. People grow. So what if we just… let them? What if we stopped assuming the worst and started giving a little more grace?
Not just to celebrities—but to the people in our own lives too. Because at the end of the day, we don’t always know the full story.
I’m taking these thoughts to heart too.
That’s just my hot take—maybe you’ll agree, maybe you won’t. But I think we could all use a little more grace in the world.
And if you’re looking for a lighthearted, fun relaxing show… I recommend it! It’s With Love, Meghan on Netflix.
I shared a little more on our podcast earlier this week if you want to check it out here!
With love,
